phoenix 250watt glass

has anybody had any issues with these bulbs burning corals not sure but is the uv supposed to be filterd out in the fixture glass im killin stuff?

Yeah but I don't think it was the bulbs just bad placement.
I melted a kenya putting it up high and bleached some sps's by not acclimating them slowly to the light.
I think I'm finally getting the acclimating routine down now.
Though LPS's seems to be fine no matter where I put them which Is strange to me.

If it's a double-ended bulb, which it should be, then yes, you need a UV glass shield between the water and the bulb.

I was under the impression that he was using the glass in the fixture and still killing corals.

this is the oddysea fixture and so far ive had to change everything i was thinking the glass was not uv rated ive had it for quite some time with the same corals but recently some are starting to bleach rtn so on and so forth,
