Where can I find reflective plastic for fluorescent reflector?
I have to put something over the board behind my VHO's. It is a melamine board that has held up ok but is starting to flake.
I am looking for a reflective film with adhesive on the back. The best idea that I can come up with is shelf liner that has the peel and stick backing. Any ideas? |

Home Depot sells an adhesive reflective material. I can't remember the name. I had to make some 'home-made' light shades for a project at work (low budget project) and had to increase the light output from these black foam shades. Let me run downstairs to the shop real quick and I will see if I can find what it is called.

We don't have any more of the stuff, but it is very much like an adhesive aluminum foil. It is basically like what is used to repair duct leaks in your A/C ducts (no, not duct tape like some people use to fix everything), but the stuff we had doesn't have the printed text on it like most duct repair stuff does.
Hope that helps. |

Would spectral aluminum work? I believe that it has a higher melting point than mylar. You can find it at the bottom of this webpage: http://www.aquatictech.com/lighting.html

With VHO's the temp isn't an issue. I was hopeing for something to peel an stick.
Its funny but the pot growers seem to be the only ones selling mylar reflectors. |
