Oceanrunner 2500 help

Any help anyone can give me I would appreciate it. I bought an ocean runner 2500 and I am kind of stumped on the plumbing of it. It comes with a barb fitting on it and a thread that screws in to the pump itself. I was planning on using Spa Flex to a union to a gatevalve that have slip fittings on them. Does anyone have any pictures of theirs setup or any suggestions on how to get this to Spa Flex. This is my first reef ready tank so its the first time having to plumb one of these. Thanks

You will have to use a thread/slip piece of PVC right out of the pump. Then you can connect the spa flex to that piece.

Thanks but do you know what I could use to upsize the return. The piece they use is for flexible hose so it has a barb fitting on it and it is threaded smaller than 3/4 going into the pump

Oh wow, yours is different then mine. Mine came with a piece that threaded into the pump, and was threaded on the output side too.

Do you have the 2500? From reading the directions it seems the 3500 is different as far as the plumbing.I am kinda stumped. The only thing I can think of is using tubing and finding something that is barbed and slip on the other end.I appreciate you trying to help me though.

Mine is also the 2500, but I did get it over a year ago, so perhaps they changed the fittings they send with it. Was able to use threaded PVC, then went to flex-spa.

I found the threaded piece. I had connected everything not realizing that the piece that goes into the pump is male and female threaded so crisis averted.
