In certain places where they are very difficult to get or completely price gauge you they can be 2000.oo but very very rarely will you see one for that price. About half that price is the average if you look hard enough. 2000.00 for a fish is not crazy to some avid fish collectors. There are many fish that are that price and way more. It is crazy when you take a step back and look at the price of some of these fish but other hobbies demand far more money for the rare and exotic. Tim

Midas Blenny.
In and out of intricate holes. Big blue intelligent eyes. Out swimming like an eel in the water column. Great color. I think its a well rounded fish. Usually a $25-35 fish. |

Well, just look at the gem tangs. I don't think they are that much prettier than a yellow or purple tang, but instead of a price in the double digits you will often pay $2500 for a little one.

I had a 2" Rock Beauty ( hand collected) that I got up to 4.5" before the tank crashed. 20 years ago those old systems we used to run were doomed from the start. Also the immature French they look like a velvet painting come to life. I dont have a large enough tank for them now but I'm working on it.

Orange shoulders tangs are to me one of the most underated fish there is. Great personalitie and just a beautiful fish. I also love my emperor. She is so funny. The grunting they do is so funny.

The fish I find to be most beautiful is the majestic angel. I wil never own one, as they get too large for my 150 and are not reef safe.
My ''must have'' fish for my reef tanks are the leopard wrasses. I love thier swimming and independant eyes, how they swim in a group, when kept in 3s or more, and they are just gorgous. I also love green mandarins for their habits and pattern. 2 fish I love, but have never kept are the yellow and pink frog fish and I love yellow, red, or orange sehaorses. Not out of the realm of possibilty, but not my focus now.
