decorations for qt?
i have been running my qt tank for about a week with the bare minimum.. saltwater, heater, filter...
can i put like a wax covered paper cup in there for the fish to have shelter and feel a little bit more home? or should i ikeep it the way it is? or should i add anything else to the tank? i just wanna make my fish feel more homie when theyre in qt since theyre gonna be in the tanks for 8 weeks... this also may help reduce stress i would think? the only thing im worried about is the salt breaking down the wax and the wax leaking into the water? |

yep, some elbows or tees. Something for them to seek shelter in when eyes from the outside come peeking at them in there temporary home.

For a temporary, temporary home, if you can't get to Home Depot, you can put in a couple of clean ceramic coffee cups. Rinse them real well before putting them in. I had a Kole tang that adopted one to sleep in for the 5 weeks he was in QT.

yeah, stay away from the paper cups. PVC is cheap and a good solution.
