I like the construction and pump that the BK is using more than the Deltec. The single pump will give you a better air/water ratio than two eheims. I also like the bubble plate the BK offers.

I went through the same decision making process a few months back. I decided the ATB conical skimmers were very attractive and went that route. But either skimmer will work well

Cheers,

Jim

I agree with Jim I would go BK over Deltec. Look at the ATB's as well they are awesome skimmers, its a really hard choose between BK and ATB but I chose ATB and am very happy with my decision.

My vote would be the BK 250 external. I have been running one for a couple of months and I love it. It was very easy to setup. the contruction is far better than the deltec. The pump is deadly silent and produces tons of bubbles. Whats even cooler is that the pump is pulling about 500 more LPH of air than advertised. So it's actually pulling about 2000 lph of air according to my dwyer rmc model. Must be those new carbon wheels Klaus is using. The bubble king you can also get some of the new toys comming out soon that you can use with your skimmer. They have the new self cleaning heads which will clean the neck of your collection cup keeping production going. Also the new DC pumps which you can adjust the performance of your skimmer from 600 lph of air to 2200-2300 lph of air. Also Klaus told me they are comming out with new electronic air meters too which will come in handy especially when you have the DC pump.

Here are some pics of my beast
