Recommendations for a good SandSifter

Hello:

I am interested in adding a sand sifter critter into my tank, I have a harlequin shrimp so a SS starfish wont do since it will be eaten eventually.

Can anyone recommend a good PASSIVE (I have seahorses) fish or critter that I can add to my 55 gallon tank?

Regards,

Estefano

P.S. I was concidering a 2 spot goby, but ill let you guys recommend

ok

I thought about adding a watchman goby but they are big jumpers and my 55 gal is rimless, so it will just be a matter of time before it decides it wants to try its luck somewhere else (the floor)

Nassarius are a good options however I have always been under the impression that they just burrow in the sand to wait (kinda like chuck norris) and then when they smell something the come out to eat.

More suggestions are welcome.

Regards,

Estefano

Nassarius snails are good. I have a few and they cruise all over the place. When I feed sometimes they will surface and I spot feed them some of it. But when they burrow they move around and eat stuff in the sand. One will go in on one side and appear in a totally different spot.

nassarius snails are awesome. mine basically stay in the sand the entire time... they keep the sand from just sitting there and that way algae doesnt have a chance to build up. also i have a byno goby which is a sand sifter.... its really pretty and its a sand sifter which works out awesome =] its really peaceful too

Nassarius snails are great but if you have small hermits then the snail will get eaten and the hermits will take their shells. So its best to get the smaller snails and have bigger hermits.
