Scooter Blenny
I have a fully cycled 10 gallon coral only tank and do not plan on putting any livestock in it except I would like to put a small Scooter Blenny in there. My question is, could I do this and if not enough copepods could I introduce some or try to get them to populate as a food source. Again, I do not plan on any other fish?
And is there a difference between the Red vs. Charcoal colored Scooter Blenny with regards to size, hardiness, etc. Thanks in advance on ideas? ---Sean

I think it is too small as well, but you do have the advantage that you could can target feed without interference from other fish. The problem I have always had with scooters (much like mandrins) is that you cannot get them supplemental food (even if they will eat it) because the other fish are too fast. So you are left with letting them rely on the pod population which the other fish also like to eat when they can. By itself you might have a shot if you can get it to feed on supplemental food. Also if you had a refuge that the scooter could not get into it would beef up the pod population.

We calculated somewhere that a dragonet will gladly eat about 10,000 pods a day.
If you attach a 20g Fuge to your 10g you still would not have enough rockwork to make it work. They travel and hunt all day long, at every angle of the rocks.
