i never feed my stars they eat leftover food and fish poo

for the time being I dont have any fish in my tank yet but I will with in the next couple of weeks so I figured I would feed him until I do

Just drop some fish food in the tank (flakes, frozen, whatever) and he should pick up stuff that settles along (assuming it's a detrivore star, some of them are film algae eaters).

I had mine as part of my cuc before I had any fish and just through some fish food in every now and then.
