Can corals grow under only 03 actinics?

Just wondering if appearance is the only benefit or will corals actually grow with this light.

I just had a discussion about that here. The short answer would be yes, actinic lights contribute to photosynthesis--although not as effectively as lights that are more heavily weighted toward the red/yellow end of the spectrum.
