Well, my common sense are telling me you are just taking your sand from the tank and moving it down to your refuge. So you are just shifting your sand from show tank to bottom. I guess that defeat the purpose of BB. thats just my 2 pennies.

This guy evan (blueTORT) who has a BB and he took out his whole refugium and upgrade his skimmer (which takes up much of all his 30g sump space, but still have his space for the return pump, that is.)

But hey what do i know .. i have a SB a deep one!!! (not really)
