questions w/ Pegging with "Wooden Chopstick"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I used Wooden chopsticks for pegging corals, so I was wondering if wooden chopsticks has any side effect on reef system? Cos for the longest time my corals hasn't being looking so hot. |

I wouldn't use something bio-degradable if I had the choice. I couldn't say what adverse side effects there might be from having wood in the aquarium, but I imagine it will break down over time.
I would closely examine your other water parameters before attributing it to the chop sticks though. What lighting are you using? What corals are not looking as good as they should be, and what are your water parameters?

I'd imagine it would be better to use something plastic. I've heard of a guy who mounted his leather coral with a wooden toothpick, then a few months later it melted away because he forgot to remove the toothpick.

wow, that sounds painful... def gonna need some sort of lube for that one.... is your wife really into that? hmm.... that's a bit out there but you go for it boy.
do you find that when drilling a new hole size of the chopstick is key to filling the hole? so pegging via chopsticks.... gotta produce some splinters huh?
