I have mh, but want t5's too, what?

I have (3) 250 watt mogul metal halide bulbs, I would like to have the t5 bulbs, in conjunction with them. the blue lights, I could add them to my top lid, (I have a lid that pops up with a hinge) it has my light attached to it. I do have room for them. 48" long. What watt should I use to be able to go 30" deep? I would like to be able to have my lights on more than from 6 hours a day, as I am doing now, but not so much heat

48" T-5's will be 54 watts.

What MH reflectors do you have? What's the width of your 200?

Get rid of the MH, go with T5s all the way. Alot less heat for your tank and room A/C.
