Help me pick a 20K DE bulb (250w) for IceCap eballast
I have the new IceCap 250w HQI ballasts (electronic). I have been using Hamilton 14K bulbs in a Double Reefstar pendant this past year. It will be time to change my bulbs soon, and am looking to possibly go to 20K for a more aesthetic look, as I will not be running any actinics with the halides. I would love Radiums, but since they don't make a DE bulb yet in 250w, I have to look elsewhere. With the new IceCap HQI 250w electronic ballasts, what 20K bulbs would give stunning coral color, with decent growth? I am looking to avoid that washed out monochromatic look. Thanks for any experiences or thoughts....

problem with Helios is that is made by TAAM (poor customer service). Have you ever tried getting them to contact you? They do not give out a phone number - only a fax and they still don't get back to you.
I would say try the Ushio DE HQI bulb. |
