Stocking Question 46g
Hey hive-mind... I want to know if I can add a red velvet wrasse (or similar) to my reef tank. I have a 46g bowfront stocked with the following fish:
1 Maroon clown hosted in medium sized BTA 1 CBA 3 small Chromis 1 flame hawk (who I hardly ever see) There seems to be swimming room for another fish, but I am not familiar with the behavior or space needs of a wrasse. I don't think my current fish will be bothered by the addition because they are all cool with one another. But I am not sure if the wrasse will feel crowded. Thoughts? Thanks in advance |

I'm not terribly familiar with that wrasse, but both the flame hawk and maroon clown are both rather aggressive. that could be an issue, but probably not with adding such a different fish to the mix. the wrasse is probably a jumper, too, so you'd have to protect for that.

Thanks crvz, but my maroon and flame are both very mellow fellows... what I really need to know is the 'tude on the wrasses!
