Question Glass or Acrylic Overflow? 46g Bow Front

I'm a little confused over what material I sould be using for an overflow. Not sure if the back panel on my 46 Bow Front is tempered glass or not. I believe the manufacturer is Marineland.

To create an overflow wall inside the tank, should I be using glass or acrylic? What to bond with? Silcone for either?

How much flow is too much flow for 46g?

Can the overlow wall run the full 36" along the inside of the tank?

How far out from the back wall?

Would an acrylic or glass manufacturer cut grooves in the acrylic or glass for the overflow wall? (Don't have tools!)

Where to purchase the glass or acrylic?

What size bulckheads and PVC to match the flow?

Thanks so much!
