Clownfish Pairing?
Hey everyone,
So i picked up a pair of BW Ocellaris clowns about 2 weeks ago. They sleep in the same place, swim w/ eachother, and hardly leave each others side. However they fight a lot. There is no real damage on either of them. The fighting happens quite frequently but they both shoe the signs of a clownfish submitting. The bigger one will beat the little one up and then the little one will have the "epileptic" seizure thing that shows they submit. But then the smaller one will beat the bigger one up and it does the same. Do I have two females or are they just establishing dominance? Sorry for the long post. Ryan |

My black and white ocellaris were purchased as small fish that have then lived together for more than 2 years. They still squabble regularly. They are definitely the nasty tempered cousins of the ocellaris family tree. I don't think I'd worry about them just yet, if they were mine.

Mine squabbled for a year before pairing then finally breeding. We used to joke about it being "the fight that never ends". Don't worry about it.
