Anthia Problem
One of our LFS's sold us 2 dispar anthias. Upon bringing them home 3 months ago, we went on line and determined that we had 2 males. Not good according to the internet as these like to be in harems of a bunch of females and one male. Everything appeared ok until last night. One of them went missing. Didn't come out for feeding time. This afternoon we found him(?). Hiding in a rock cave. The other anthia is occassionally going into the cave and causing havoc. What is happening? Are they now starting to fight? I didn't think that males could turn to females, so don't think this is a nest or anything. Ideas? Did we not sex them right and one is actually a female or will there be a fight to the death of the two males and we need to separate?

i dont think they change sex's...which if you do have a case of 2 males then yes one will probably end up killing the other and i would try to separate them asap!!

Hiding anthia just came out. Was in real trouble, hovering on the bottom of the tank, so am sure they were fighting. We now have him in a 5 gallon bucket with an airator. It will be a long night.
