Where do I drill for my bulkhead? Help guys

Do I drill at the top of the tank for my bulkhead to my sump? Also is that all i need, do i just let the water flow out of it or do i need an internal overflow? Help!

You should have an overflow for surface skimming. Its good to have that first so you can use it for a template as to where to drill.

http://glass-holes.com has overflows, and even kits that include everything. They have instructions and videos that show you how to install as well.
