Question Pump

I have a 75g DT with a 29g sump. What kind of pump would you recommend for the return? How many gph?

Thanks, Elan

An Ocean Runner 2500 or 3500 would both be good choices. What size overflow do you have, that will have a bearing on how big you go with the return pump.
My tank is a 100G with a 30G sump and I use the 3500.
Best pricing I have found is at www.customaquatic.com a RC Sponsor.

What is the flow rate of the overflow? 600, 900, 1200 GPH etc. Is it internal or a hang on?

It is a built in overflow, and i will have to ask the person i bought it from the GPH. He suggested the Eheim 1260. Just looking for a second opinion.

I'd recommend something in the 5 times tank volume per hour, so something on the order of ~500 gph. I love the eheim pumps, so a 1262 on a gate valve (it's always nice to have a little reserve on the pump) should do well. A bit spendy compared to the mag drives or others, but well worth it in my experience.
