cleaning live rock
I noticed there has been a awful lot of debris on my rocks when I move them. Can I take the rock out and rinse them off in the bucket when I do a water change later this evening or will this be bad for the bacteria build-up?

I would use a powerhead to spray the rocks in the tank and then do the water change while the "stuff" is in the water rather than taking them out.

You can use a turky baster to blow them off while your doing your water change and it will save the hastle of removing the rock. It will suspend the particles for your filter to pick up.
