What pump for BB bottom circulation?
I am setting up a 75 Reef Ready here in a few weeks. Rock is cooking (bad algae outbreak in current tank and going to get this one started on the right foot) and stand is almost finished (sanding and staining is all that is left). I have to order lights and get the tank plumbed. It is going to be BB with a starboard bottom.
I am running 2 Tunze streams in the top part of the tank on a multi controller. For the bottom (to help keep detritus from settling) I simply can't afford any more tunze pumps as I have so much other stuff to purchase to get the tank up and running. I was wondering what might be a good choice. I was thinking a couple of Hydor Koralias or a couple Modded Maxi-Jets or maybe just one of the new Koralia Magnums? Anyone have an opinions on this? |

I am doing a 75g as well and have two modded MJ's for the flow and then a third that I plan to have facing the bottom or blowing across the bottom. I can't say if this will work yet since it is not set up, but I have tried the MJ in my 45g with the smaller prop and it blew stuff everywhere, can't wait to see the larger props in action.
