live rock question???

I have a bunch of old rock that I want to make "alive" again. I plan on doing it outside in a tub. It will be in the shade, but will the heat affect it? I will be doing it today, so I am not sure how warm the water will get.

Where do you live? How much light will there be? Are you seeding it with good LR? How cold does it get at night? (In other words, what will the daily temp fluctuations be?)
