Phosban reactor

I was looking to get rid of my bio balls, I seen on Dr F&S a Phosban reactor, I was looking to use some type of carbon filter to help keep nitrates under control, can I use carbon in this or is it just for Phosban?

treecowboy42.

Is granulated but is like sand or mud. The flow throught the reactor must be slowly. You could find it at any aquarium web stores, (with good reputation)

Rowaphos is a brand name GFO, granulated ferric oxide. You'll see the name GFO used as well throughout the forums.

GFO is also great for treating hair algae outbreaks (excess nutrients)
