killed another anenome...

what do you suggest for feeding? i was turkey basting rods food over it. It seemed to be cool. He was happy with that til I decided to move him. It had been slowly tucking its way underneath of some rock til I removed it and repositioned it on a different rock. Now its all shriveled and gross. Once it fully detaches from the rock I'll give it the old flush a roonie. But I'll just leave it til I see this. Any suggestions?

I've had him for about 3 months now. And the tank was completely taken down and reset for a move about 2 months ago

since you broke the tank down and reset it up, then it probably wasn't mature enough for the anemone yet?

My suggestion would be stop messing with it. It will go where it want and you moving it will only **** it off. My GBTA moved all over and finally found a spot, i still have nightmares about it getting stuck to a PH. (I feed mysis and krill)

Like atwinparadox2 said make sure ur tank is mature enough to support one.

RiffRaff,

I was a known anemone killer in my early years of saltwater. The main reason-lack of proper lighting in those early years of marine tank care. We didn't know back then that anemones were highly dependant on light to make food, more so than most corals. If you are losing anemones the most probable cause is poor lighting.
