MSX 300 users?

I am just trying to see what size tank people are using this on, and what their opinion of it is. I am looking into setting up a 300g display + another 100g or so for a sump, refuge, frag tank, etc. Also, let me know if you are using the mesh or the pinwheel, I would prefer to use the pinwheel if I could still handle the tank load.

I have the Octo Xtreme 300, which is basically the same skimmer, sold by Coralvue. It's on a 345g system, medium bio load and it's doing great!

I have a MSX300 on a 180g tank with another 100g sump and this skimmer is way over kill on my system. I didn't realize how big it was when I bought it but I am glad I got it for when I go bigger. I think this skimmer could handle 600 gallons. I use mesh and it works like a champ. I have no start up problems ever.

mesh, tried to redo what it came with, but didn't get far....26 and 28 scfh. Water in this section of the sump is set at 9.5" (built for this skimmer) and the water/bubble line in skimmer is set about 1/2" below neck. I also don't push the cup all the way down gaining about 3/8" of extra rise in neck.

thanks for the input guys. Sounds like it should be able to handle the load. It was between one of these and the reeflo 200, but I prefer to go in-sump with the skimmer.
