could Caleurpa affect DSB effectiveness?
Hi all
I have some Caleurpa the fern type as well as some cheato on the DSB. the Caleurpa is going to root unlike the cheato. Would the rooting of the caleurpa affect the effectiveness of the dsb? Heres some pics: |

The calurpa will be fine. Just don't let it get super dense...keep pulling some from time to time for nutrient export.

I'd be careful with that particular kind of caulerpa. I had some migrate from my fuge to the display about four years ago. Me and my tang battled it for about a year. I then decided to replace all of my LR because it infested it so bad. I couldn't get all the pieces out of the rock. Luckily the LFS I used to work at part time let me trade them pound for pound. I felt a little sorry for whoever bought that rock.

Yes. I had one hell of a time with that stuff. I think it took a couple years off my life.

The fern stuff. That's how I got my lunar wrasse out. I tried netting it, fish traps, mini harpoons, nothing worked. So I put a little piece of krill on my smallest fly hook. 2 seconds. Done. And it didn't even hook him, he just wouldn't let go of the krill till I had him dangling over my carpet.
