My 80G Mix Reef

Hello,

My wife and I started this hobby about 2 years ago. We wanted a nice tank which looks different from typical ones out there. We are also the fans of good equipment because we are sure that it will make our life much easier and it also plays such a critical part in this hobby. After some research, we decided to go with an ELOS system. Current tank profile: ELOS System 120(79G), Planet II 150x2 (14K) + 39x4 (Actinic+), GEO 618, 2xVortech Pumps with WWD, TR20(1/3) Teco Chiller, SpectraPure Maxcap RO/DI. With a lot of research and learning from our fellow reefers at RC, we are lucky to have a very good grow and high survival rate of all coral we purchased. We would like to thank Reef Central, all wonderful members of RC community, Dr. Le and all of his staff and Aquatic Gallery.

Enough talking, it is now time for some current pictures:

What have you got behind the tank? I love the pink/orange background, it looks to really tie everything together.

Almost looks like a white set of blinds that is being affected by the white-balance on the photo (at least based on what happens when I set the white balance on my camera). In any case, great shots and thanks for sharing!

Thank you

Thank you for your nice comments. It is the red-wine color Honeycomb blind behind it.

Spleify,

We have been using 10K Spectra ELOS bulbs until July. We just recently switched to 14K Phoenix to enhance the color of our coral. We are very happy with the switch as all coral started to color up nicely and 14K bulbs are nearly half of the cost of other ones.
