Flower Pot not opening up

Got a flower pot coral the other day and its still lacking on opening up all the way...I put in down on the bottom with moderate flow.... I thinking that its not used to the lights? It came from low actinic lighting from the LFS and then to my tank with 3 400w halides.... Is this the problem? or is there something else?

I would say it would be too much light for it right now. Try moving it to a darker location and then gradually move it to the light, or if you can't find a darker spot for it, shade it with a bit of egg crate and screen and then let it acclimate slower to the brighter light.
