Anyone have plans for a 2 part dripper/doser?

Anyone have plans or pictures for a easy to make and use gravity doser for 2 part additives?

How would you control the dose and flow? As the reservoir level changed the pressure on the drip would change so the flow would vary. Don't think it will work that way. You could do kalk in your top off and gravity feed it.

I'm looking for something that I could hang on the inside of my stand that would slowly drip a couple ounces of additive over 15 minutes or whatever instead of just dumping it in. Something as small as a soda bottle would work with the top cut off. I'd imagine someone has made one with airline tubing and a small ball/needle valve.

I've used a square plastic container(so it sit properly on top of the tank) and drilled a 1/8 " whole at the bottom and hot glued a dripper bought at walmart in the landscaping section. it drips from0-1 liter per hour. it works great for me.

I think the dripper is a seaonal item because I couldn't find it at my Wallyworld. I did pick up some air line tubing and some airline fittings. I would like to see some other designs as my $7 version may not be the best. On a side note, does 2 part additive mixed together cause problems when its together for 15 minutes or longer?

yes i will take some after work and will post them.
For $1.15 I got 5 drippers, the plastic container was free. I actually used the container from the activated carbon comes in. ( the square one, works great and very stable)

PS: depending on the setting, Mine has lasted three days constantly dripping, before refilling. I maintain a 440 CA. reading.

Three days worth would be great. Can you mix 2 part solutions and leave it in one container that long or does it react with each other?

If you mix the 2 part solutions in one container you will end up with a mess. It will start to turn into a nice white pasty goo almost instantly. Well the 2 part I use does anyways.

You could just use an IV infusion set like the ones they use in hospitals. I frequently buy some from pharmacies, fill my solution (of whatever I'm dripping) in a bottle placed on teh canopy, put the infusion tube in it with some weight to keep it from losing siphon and put the other in the tank (secure it fromboth ends as if it falls down from the bottle and one end is in your tank it'll siphon your tank on the ground.. you also have a regulator to regulate yoru count rate.
If yo udon't have access to an IV infusion set then just get some airline and add one of those air flow controllers (the ones used for freshwater tanks costs close to nothing) and put it on the end that will let you regulate your count rate. As this is a bit a bigger Gauge then infusion sets you can run faster flows through that.
I can post pics of the setup next week when I'm back home if needed.
