Chromis all over...
So I went to petco to get some chromis 2 days ago. 1 didn't make it the night. the other lasted a full 24 hours, but I come home today to find bits of chromis all over the tank as he evidently found my vortech pump (before or after death I don't know, but he was doing fine and eating since I put him in).
I've taken all the large chunks I could find out, but anything else I should do? Other then the obvious and not go back to petco. Water change needed? Think if I take half a head in they'll give me my 1.99 back :/ |

Chromis are not hardy. They tend to die as much as rabbits make babies.
I've bought well over 50 chromis, only 10% of them live. Usually what most people do is buy a lot and just keep them until the sole survivors hold out. Large Chromis are a lot hardier, thus the demand and price. |

Water change wouldnt hurt, but one dead fish isnt going to be too bad barring no other issues.
