Fish stuck in rocks?

Probably a dumb question, but I'm a bit concerned. I have a new royal gramma. For the first day he hid, and then the next couple he was out and about. But last night I noticed a frag was knocked behind my rocks and I had to move them to get to them and I disturbed him when moving rocks around.

Today he has hidden all day but I looked around and I see his tail sticking out of a rock. I'm assuming he could get out if he wanted to, but I wanted to make sure.

Also, when a fish dies they get rather rigid, right? I dont want to poke him till tomorrow if nothing changes.

they get rigid, pale up, and attract crabs.

My fish sleep in the rocks. I am not telling you what you should do, but if he was my fish i would give him a little touch with my super long eyedropper. Just to see what the deal is.

yea, I don't think he is dead. It's just odd. I can't tell if there is a way out and unlike my blenny he doesn't back into holes. I assume he can back out if needed.

Yeah, all my fish seem to be able to put it in reverse when needed...
