AquaC Urchin Pro issues
My aquaC urchin pro is not producing enough foam to travel up the collection cup. If you set the cup to its lowest setting all you get is some slightly brownish/green water. Typically I can run this skimmer with the collection cut all the way up and get nice thick, green skimmate.
Since my sump is in my aquarium's lower cabinet I cannot remove the skimmer all the way. Today I pulled the collection cup off and cleaned it and pulled the white jet plug out and cleaned the jet. I cleaned the jet by taking a compressed air can for cleaning a keyboard and spraying it out with that. Once I got everything back together I fired the pump back up and still no really good foam. I am running the skimmer with a mag 3, any ideas. I've had this skimmer for roughly two years and it has done this twice. The last time cleaning the jet took care of it. |

try giving it a vinegar bath for awhile. Or even run it in vinegar and water. That will for sure clean it right up.

I'll give that a shot. It appears to be running somewhat better.
