Live Sand, is it Dead!
I needed to move my tank last week, as part of the move I removed my LS, I've been keeping it in two buckets and plan to use it as a remote deep sand bed, will the sand still be "alive" after a few weeks, or should I just wash it and start over with it

I think you should wash it before you use it. It'll probably be dead.

Bacteria are way more resilient than you think. Just rinse the sand to get rid of detritus and use it.

I think I'll just wash it in some tank water next time I make a water change...
