Needle Wheel destroying phytoplankton?
I have been in the market for a great skimmer to replace my sensitive AquaC EV180 on my 125Gal SPS tank. IN my research I ran across this interesting tidbit in Zeovit's usage guide:

I suppose it could be a thought but there is no proof of this that I know of. Sounds like something a protein skimmer manufacturer would say that doesn't use needlewheels as a marketing gimmick more than anything.

If you look at the pods that make it out of my refugium, past my skimmer and through my return pump, they are pretty tough.
fyi, zooplankton are animals like pods. phyto is plants
