thanks guys prolly take one afternoon and travel around to the fish stores. Just bought a house there, and going to travel back and fourth. Not moving there just yet, but maybe in the future. So just wanting to get my bearings.. one day when I set up a monster tank 500+ gallons I'll need to know the right people to talk to that would be local.

marine warehouse, coral corral, and faois are close enough together to make it worth stopping at each one in the same trip.
many folks around here consider faois the top of the line shop, with good reason. clean tanks, healthy livestock, and knowledgeable, friendly staff. i ordered a light and stand through them and when i went to pick it up they carried everything out to my car and helped me load it in. can't ask for much more than that. i haven't been to coral corral for a while but i was also impressed with their shop when i was there. they've got a large selection of corals, as you'd imagine, and most everything i saw there was healthy. i didn't spend much time talking with anyone there, but i was approached by one of the guys working there and he was cool. i'd go back. marine warehouse is a combination freshwater and saltwater shop, whereas the other two are saltwater only. it's got a pretty decent selection, and they were good to me when i ordered my tank through them. here's a link to the tampa bay reef club forum: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...?s=&forumid=72 there's a link stickied to local shops with contact information, address, hours, etc. and it's a pretty active forum where you could ask questions to those folks who visit the stores regularly, and i think at least one or two of the owners of them drop in from time to time.
