On your bio, you state "NEW"!!
the question now is?.....how old is your tank? and how long has it been cycling, and if so what else you have in the tank.? from personal Experience I can tell you that your par might not be reading corectly to support corals,or there might be lack of trace elements. What type of coral was it BTW? |

With not knowing what kind of coral your talking about, its going to be hard to give you advice.
Also Pictures would be very helpful if you can post some.

I would start by letting us know everything you can about your tank.
How long has it been set up? How was it cycled? What fish and how many are in it? How much Live Rock? What types of equipment do you have? Skimmer? Lighting? How are you creating flow? How much flow do you have? Once we know everything about your tank, then we need to know everything about your water...lol. What's your maintenance schedule like? How often do you do water changes? How much water do you change? Do you use RO/DI water or Tap Water? What, if any chemicals or supplements are you dosing? If so, I hope you're testing prior to dosing... What test kits do you have? What do you test for? How often do you test? What are your test results? You should be testing for: Ammonia Nitrates Phosphates pH Salinity Calcium Alkalinity Magnesium Once we have answers to all of these questions, we might be better able to help you. Oh and we do need to know what kind of coral this is. I wouldn't suggest buying corals without knowing what they are. How else are you supposed to know what type of care it requires? Different types of corals require vastly different types of environments. |
