Moved a rock and found this little white ball...

Well a ball of sorts, I was in rearranging some of my rock in my tank and one of the rocks seemed to have this nickle sized half-sphere mass on the back of it. It almost has the surface appearance of a golf ball, dimpled of sorts. There, also, seems to be another organism of the same species about a couple inches away from it that is smaller in size then the other one but does by what look to be antennae type feelers coming from it. They do react to touch by shrinking in size some.

I will try to post pictures if necessary...

Thanks.

Agree...most likely a sponge. Sign of a healthy tank.

Here is the larger of the two...

Here is the smaller of the organisms with the antennae...

If these are sponges, is there anything I need to start doing for them as they begin to grow?

Yeah, Keep them out of the air and put them back in the tank Most all sponges hate being out of water, some die within moments of exposure to air, or are damaged.

The two pics were snapped quickly, I know the issue with some sponges and their sensitivity to air exposure. I just haven't seen a sponge look like these before...

Thanks for confirming that they are sponges...

Yeah, looks like harmless sponges to me as well. I have a number of them in my tank.
