Does anybody know if you have to have a license to sell and ship coral in the continental US?

If the answer is yes I'm turning in the entire livestock for sale forum for a reward. I believe the answer is no.

Depends on whether youre doing it as a retail entity or not. Might need a retail license.
But no, there is nothing that prohibits shipping livestock within the US (though some states restrict particular species from entering or leaving their borders- Hawai'i and California have all kinds of wonky laws about that stuff for example).

In general no, there's not an issue with it, with the exception of a few states (Hawaii being the biggest concern). As long as it's within the continental US, I wouldnt think twice about it.

in my state it is against the law,, and i am sure it is in all of yours,, you are not allowed to sell anything without some sort of permit. i know of people in my area who get a yard sale permit every week to sell fish supplies, if you are busted selling without a permit, youget a big fine,, 250-500 i think,, not positive, it isnt about a license,, because you dont need one if you are not a bussiness per say, but the state still wants thier money. its one of those things that no one enforces on the general public,, but if they see you alot,, or a nasty competitor,, they can certainly get you busted,, then theres fish and wildlife,, they can fine you rediculous amounts of money,, everytime a new fish store opens in my area,, one of the owners of a local"coral specialty" store calls fish and wildlife, my buddy just got 500 dollar fine for not having his license displayed,, has it,, just wasnt displayed,, so long story short,, get oyur licenses if you are planing on doing it other than an occasional frag,, or take the risks,,
