Direct to Tank Garlic Dosing?

Aside from putting some liquid garlic on food, does anyone dose the tank with it?

I picked up Kent Liquid Garlic a two weeks ago when I noticed a white smudge (not ich) on my yellow tangs fin. I dosed for two days (1.5 drops per 10 gallons) and the spot went away.

Anyone have an exp with dosing this for fish as a healing/appitite increasing agent?

You might find some anecdotal evidence, but I think the "official" view, as it were, is that while there might be a correlation - no one's been able to prove causation and results of success are pretty difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate.

Current Tank Info: 90g Reef/35g Sump with Foam Rock Wall. 10g Propagation Reef. 55g Goldfish Tank.
