RO/DI auto top off

My tank is approx, 30-40 feet away from water lines and waste lines in my house. I would like to set-up the DO/DI unit near the water lines and run the clean-water line and sensor cable through drop ceiling to tank.

Does anyone know if there is a distance limit on RO/DI units clean-water line and and the auto top-off controller in the tank? I'm assuming the clean-water line isn't an issue, since the RO/DI unit would push the water through.

I'm also concerned about the water sitting in the line, if that presents any problems.

Thanks

I run mine about the same distance through the drop ceiling to a 10gal tank that sits under the stand, shut off with a float valve. Tunze osmolator tops off from there to sump.

RO/DI Distance

Is there a reason, you have an additional water storage tank? Why can't the float sit in the actual sump?

Fresh RO to sump would be very bad if it failed in the on position.

Check into the Spectrapure Liquid leveler LCM. I have a similiar set up despite the extended distance for the water to travel. I would assume that if your Water pressure is between 50-70 psi that that distance is fine.

I liked the Liquid level controller because it was based on pressure, and you can install a back up float-valve for redundancy.
