lumenbright/lumenarc question
I am debating on whether to use one of these two on my 250. My tank is 8ft. long. What kind of coverage does one of these have? I know spider reflectors are recommended every two ft. I am using 400w mh lighting, and I would love to get away with just 3 rather than 4. Trying to keep electric bill down. your opinion is appreciated.

Check into Sunlight supply Lumenmax elite. These are supposed to be very good reflector, maybe even the best on the market. According to sunlight supply they will cover a 2'x2' or 30"x30" area. You might be able increase distance from water surface and use 3 over your 8' tank. I have done a lot of research for my new tank and decided to go with the Lumenmax elite over the lumenarc reflectors.

Wow. High dollar. I was interested by the Lumenbright and Lumenarcs because you can find sweet deals used right here on RC. I bet they would cover 30" x 30".

I'm a fan of LA's over LB's due to the extra spread they provide.

A lumenbright mini would probably do 30"x 30" area, but it would be pushing it.. I have one over my 40 breeder which is 36"long, and it is dim around the corners of the tank..
