150 watt vs. 250 watt HQI?

I am wondering about these two lights over a 38gal. that is 20 inches tall. I was think about a single HQI on an Icecap e Ballast with one 96 watt PC for actinic. I am only keeping zoas and shrums right now. I would like to have some LPS and maybe a clam in the future. I would like the 150 because of heat. Would this give my good par on a 20" tall tank? Of course I would keep the higher light corals up top, but would a clam be alright on the sand. Anyone have some advice? Thanks.

Thanks, I have found a little more information on them. It sounds like the 150 will be good.
