29 Setup
Ok, I think i finally got it down to the nitty gritty here. As some of you may know, I'm not switching over to salt for a while, that may be a long while though.
But anyway It's an "all glass" 29 tank with a Magnum350 H.O.T filter by marineland, normal flourescent hood. hopefully the filtr can make the switch. I now i have to find lights but im stuck between T5's or metal Halides, idk. Substratewise, I'm probably gonna go with aragonite as live then seed it with somethin else. Fishwise, 2 ocellaris clowns and 1 firefish, then a hermit, snail, shrimp, cuc Filterwise, I was thinkin this: CPR CS50 Overflow Box http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...s~vendor~.html That would drain into a sump or a refuge. Which one should I do? If a sump, where can I find one? Or would I be better off making a DIY one. (I could use my friends amazing design) but whie building it I wouldnt feel safe knowing that I made it, Also, if I do get a sump, can i put live rock in it? so it would act as a refuge?

I personally would stay away from the overflow -- it is prone to failure. Get an U-tube style one --- with the LifeReef one being the best.
Making your own sump would be the cheapest route, and it is fairly easy. Excluding drying time, it took me 30 minutes to make a 10 gallon sump for my 29. `
