What's the best way to clean a filter sock?

I need to clean my filter socks as I am tired of buying new ones and I heard they can be re-used. How do I safely clean them?

I get months out of mine (14x16). I hose it off, turn inside out, and hose off the inside. Ring 'em out a bit. Put 'em in the washing machine by themselves (usually do several at a time), add a little bleach, and do a double rinse cycle. They sit for a day or two and then they are good to go.

Same here but dont hose them out. Just turn them inside out and throw them in and give them a wash

I think the washing machine cleans filter socks out well.

I turn mine inside out in the laundry sink and rinse the thick gunk out then in the wash with bleach. I run it through the rinse cycle twice to get all the bleach out.
