fuge question

im building my fist sump/fuge and ive been thinking about something. the water will flow over the baffle in the skimmer area, then into the fuge where it will then flow over a baffle into the bubble trap. my question is wont most of the water just flow right across the top and not really spend anytime in the fuge? should i put a power head or something in there to circulate the water?

Jon

You will get some flow, just depends on how high the drop is into the fuge and how large the fuge is. If in doubt you could always add a korellia nano power head, that's what I did.

you can put a powerhead in there to stir the water and you can also T off your main drain into the fuge, with most of the water draining into the skimmer section and the other into the fuge. Just get a ball valve on the line to the fuge so you can control the amount of water going in. Hope this helps.
