If you leave your tank fallow (fishless) for eight weeks, the life cycle of the parasite will be interrupted and you won't have ich in the system any more. You can leave your inverts in the tank, but NO fish for eight weeks. Then you can slowly introduce fish back to the tank.

The basic rule of thumb is to leave it fishless for at least 8 weeks longer if you can. The parasite can not survive without a fish host.

If it was indeed ich then DON'T put any more fish in your tank just yet. Ich requires a host (fish) to survive, breed, and spread. No fish = no ich. You need to leave your tank fallow (fishless) for atleast 6 weeks (better yet 8). This will give the ich that is present in your tank time to die off. But without more hosts it won't be able to reproduce. 6-8 weeks from now you can try again with fish. I would strongly recommed quarantining new fish in something other than your display tank. If they show signs of ich or other diseases it's much easier to treat in the qt.

Why are you convinced it was Ich? Was all the fish peppered in white spots?

I would also question the diagnosis of ICH. How did you come to that conclusion?
