red algea problem
I have red slime algea growing on my green clove polyp. How do I get it off without hurting the coral?

Use a turkey baster( a clean one) to squirt it off.

I just tried cleaning with a toothbrush. can't get it off. Afraid if I press to hard I will damage the coral. Any other suggestions?

Where exactly is the algae? If it's on the rock with the coral and you used a toothbrush and it STILL didn't come off it's possible it's red coralline algae. A picture would help if possible.

The algea is on the green clove polyp but the green clove also has some type of red leafy looking plant growing around the base of it. I tried posting a pic yesterday for some reason this sight would'nt let me. I will try to get it posted today.
