ID white sphere growing on coral

I have a green star that I just moved to my 75 gallon. When I moved it I discovered a white ball growing on the bottom of the rock. It is in such a postion that the two picture I tried to take are worthless (pretty shaded).

It looks almost like a white cotton ball or, according to my wife, more like those white pom pom balls on roller skates (serious I would not have said that, but she is right).

Any ideas at all on this one?

Yea ,that sounds like a sponge to me too. Try to look close and see if you can spot any siphons coming out of it .

Sounds like a Q-tip or pineapple sponge

Current Tank Info: I'm trying to see how many tanks will fit in my house before the wife loses it.
