i have no 1st hand experiance from them myself, but i will give an opinon on them....
seen one in action and the build quality was very good... pumps looked cheap. i did some searches here and found oout that the pumps are pretty much junk. they dont pull enough air to make them any good. i can say that it was however pulling out skimmate on a 125 gallon tank that was lightly stocked....

I can speak from experience - they are good skimmers!
I have used an Aqua Euro skimmer since Feb. 2007 and have been very pleased with it. The pumps are working fine and I get a lot of skim out of it. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a skimmer. I turned my friend on to it and he got the new model which has a bubble plate. |

I have had one and the body has very good construction but the pumps are not energy efficient at all. I would go with an octopus Extreme for around the same $. Hope that helps.

The pump on my Octopus crapped out after 2 months. Noboby wanted to replace it for me. I wouldnt recommend the Octopus. I would go with Aqua Euro or Euro Reef.

Go Vertex. The pump is cheap, but I plan to upgrade mine later. Get it from an RC sponsor and you'll have great service if there is a problem. Aqua Euro may be good, Vertex is good

If your criteria is to buy from a Reef Central sponsor, and certainly I agree with that philosophy, then, you would agree on Aqua Euro or Euro Reef.
Aqua Euro and Euro Reef ARE sponsors. Vertex is not a sponsor and doesnt even have a webpage http://www.vertexaquaristik.com/ |

AquaEuros and Octopus are identicle in quality and built in the same factory. the "new" Octopus NW funnel necks are the "old" AquaEuro PS design with octopus pumps instead of the Resun pumps AquaEuro uses and the "new" bubble plate AquaEuro's are the "old" discontinued Octopus TS series design with resun instead of Octopus pumps. this basically just a pump decision between the two.
here is the new bubble plate aquaeuro PS55 (complete with straight injection and elimination of the elbow) http://www.customaquatic.com/estore/...duct=PS-EAPS55 and here is the discontinued Octopus TS120 http://www.premiumaquatics.com/coralvue/TS-120.jpg old aquaeuro ![]() new octopus ![]() |

Right, I agree. I also agree based on experience that both Premium and MD are good places to buy from. I have bought from them before and they are good to their customers.
But, Noboddi's position was to buy Vertex because they are a reef central sponsor. In fact, they are not a reefcentral sponsor. Yet, Euro Reef and Aqua Euro BOTH ARE. All I can state is that FROM EXPERIENCE - both Aqua Euro and Euro Reef are good choices in skimmers. |

What model AEUSA are you looking at? I bought a 135 recirc and like the skimmer a lot. I didn't like the stock pumps that came with it (and this goes back to April 2007, so they may be using new pumps these days) so I replaced the stock pump with a Aquabee 2000/1. I've got a brief write-up if you click my red house.

I like the Aqua Euro Recirculating Skimmer too! I have two friends who use this skimmer and always have good skim! I also like how it sits outside the sump!
